Barbara Basinger - Alpha Phi, IWW, Faith Lutheran Church, Chambers of Commerce

Barbara Basinger's role as a Commercial Lines Account Manager in the ICI Derby office provides her with ample opportunity to connect with a diverse assortment of people and organizations, but Barb does not stop there! She enjoys "interacting with people of all ages," which is demonstrated by her involvement in the Wichita Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Phi.

Barb's history with Alpha Phi began with the Alpha Phi Sorority in Kearney, Nebraska and continued when she joined the Alumnae Chapter at Wichita State University. The Chapter's membership encompasses a wide age range of collegians and alumnae. Alpha Phi focuses on raising funds and providing support to the Sedgwick County Heart Association, which is a local chapter of the American Heart Association. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading causes of American deaths today, and the Sedgwick County Heart Association and American Heart Association promote and sustain research and education in the context of cardiovascular diseases.

Barb also actively participates in several other endeavors, including Insurance Women of Wichita, Faith Lutheran Church, the Derby Chamber of Commerce and the Mulvane Chamber of Commerce. She is committed to connecting with others in her community and providing her time and efforts whenever possible.
