Cindy Van Buren - Insurance Women of Wichita

On at least one Monday evening a month you can find Cindy Van Buren, a Commercial Lines Account Manager in the ICI El Dorado office, socializing and networking with a room full of other women in the insurance industry in and around Wichita.

Cindy is actively involved with Insurance Women of Wichita (IWW), an organization which honors and aids firefighters, police officers, and members of the emergency medical services, especially those demonstrating outstanding bravery and superior service to the communities of Butler County, Sedgwick County, and the City of Wichita. Additionally, IWW coordinates several projects to raise money for the Fire Cam Fund for the same communities.

IWW is actively involved in insurance education. They have a Speakers Bureau, which coordinates events at local schools to educate students about insurance. They have booths at local fairs and exhibitions to distribute insurance materials to educate the general public, and also participate regularly with the Neighborhood Watch program in conjunction with the City of Wichita, as well as fire prevention poster contests and safety essay contests.

Cindy enjoys spending time with other insurance professionals on a personal level and networking with others in the business.
